Was ist möglich?

English version
With our Festool CSC SYS 50 cordless table saw you can make straight rip cuts and crosscuts in wood, wood-based materials and plastics. Cut boards and panels to size, rip strips for frames and boxes, or cut mitres for furniture. You set the blade height and tilt on the display, and the saw moves the blade into position by itself.
Only trained users may use the table saw. Your training is valid only after you have signed the training list. Please read the rules on safety, materials and operation beforehand:
Festool table saw instructions (PDF, in German)
What is possible?
- Rip cuts along the rip fence, for example strips up to 280 mm wide
- Crosscuts and mitre cuts with the sliding table and mitre fence
- Bevel cuts with the blade tilted from −10° to 47°
- Cutting boards and panels up to 48 mm thick to size
- Grooves, rebates and other non-through cuts only after talking to our supervisors
Materials
You can cut wood, wood-based materials such as plywood, MDF or chipboard, and plastics. Aluminium is only allowed with a suitable saw blade. Steel and other metals, stone and material containing nails or screws are not allowed. Do not cut workpieces that cannot be guided safely along the fence or on the sliding table, such as very small, round or warped parts. See the instructions (in German) for details.
Preparing your project
Plan in advance which parts you need and in which sizes; a cutting list helps. Your workpiece needs a straight edge to place against the fence and must be free of nails, screws and other metal parts. Large panels must be supported while cutting, so ask our supervisors for help. They also change the saw blade to suit your material if needed.
Wear hearing protection and safety glasses while sawing, and a dust mask if there is a lot of dust (for example MDF or hardwood). Wear close-fitting clothes and tie back long hair. Gloves are not allowed while sawing, because the blade can catch them. Always saw with the riving knife fitted and dust extraction connected.
